Located in Everett, Washington, Everett Community College was established in 1941 and currently has seven learning centers all over Snohomish County. Everett Community College offers associate degrees, certificates of completion, and other transfer programs and non-credit courses. Everett Community College recognizes that child care is a need for both faculty and students, and the Early Learning Center is an on-campus facility that provides safe and professional child care. The Early Learning Center is designed for children between 12 months and 5 years of age. The staff are highly experienced and qualified, and activities that are age-appropriate provide safe and positive learning opportunities. The College's Early Childhood Education students also share their talents at the Center. The ELC is open to community families as well.
Another resource available to students of Everett Community College is the Rainier Learning Center. The RLC has a Tutoring Center, Writing Center, Developmental Education division, and services for Counseling and Advising. The Center assists students with their higher education goals through timely and personalized learning resources. For instance, the Tutoring Center (internationally certified by the CRLA International Tutoring Program Certification) provides both one-on-one and group tutoring and study sessions, supplemental instruction, workshops, handouts, computer support, online tutoring, and other learning help.
The Writing Center, meanwhile, assists student writers with writing projects across all subjects, as well as help with application essays, resumes, and cover letters. The Writing Center at Everett Community College has an extensive array of resources, including dictionaries, grammar handbooks, textbooks, handouts, and software for basic and advanced writing needs, composing, editing, and other essentials.
